About Roberts Woodcrafts
My name is Dustin Roberts, and I am the owner and operator of Roberts Woodcrafts. I’ve been a casual woodworker all my life, but in 2011 I decided to return to school to study woodworking with the goal of opening my own business.
I started Roberts Woodcrafts in late 2011. My original intent for RWC was to serve as a portfolio to help establish my name, but after sharing some of my works with friends, family and acquaintances, I decided to turn it into a part-time business. RWC will continue to operate on a part-time basis as I make my way through school, and it is my goal to eventually turn it into a full-time shop where I will design and build pieces of my own, as well as collaborate and build custom projects for customers.
In addition to functioning as an online store, the Roberts Woodcrafts website will continue to serve as a portfolio to showcase my works. I also intend to give back to the woodworking community through this website via the blog. Fellow woodworkers can look forward to posts sharing tips and tricks, sketches and ideas, and eventually full plans for some of my projects.
I enjoy crafting a variety of items, from simple woodturnings to complicated pieces of furniture. At this point in time, I am limited to creating smaller pieces, due to the limited number of tools the RWC shop currently has. As I work to set up my shop, and as my tool collection continues to grow, the variety and size of the projects I offer will increase.
While I enjoy building my own projects, I truly love collaborating with customers on their ideas and helping bring them to life. If you have an idea for a project that you’d like to discuss, I encourage you to visit the Custom Projects page for more information.
Whether you are purchasing a project of my design or commissioning me to build one for you, it is my mission to ensure that you enjoy your piece as much as I enjoyed making it.
