“…expect to see more frequent updates from me…at least until work relocates me and forces me to set up RWC 3.0!”
- Me, 12/27/2012
That time a year ago where I promised more frequent updates? Yeah, that didn’t happen, did it? I’m sorry about that. I wasn’t wrong about one thing, though: Greetings from my new home in Vancouver, WA & the new base of RWC 3.0!
2013 has been quite a year. I killed it in my position with TTi, and was offered a promotion as a Territory Representative for Milwaukee Electric Tool in September. Two short weeks later I left Riverside and headed for the greener pastures (literally!) of the Pacific Northwest. I now represent Milwaukee in the hardware channel of the business all across Oregon and parts of southern Washington. It’s an incredibly busy position, but one that I’m really enjoying so far. I’ve traveled more in the last 7 weeks than I have in probably the past 3 years.
The move is exciting for RWC, as it’s given me the opportunity to expand the shop. I’ve recently added a Rikon 14″ bandsaw and Ridgid oscillating sander to the mix, and I’m on the lookout for a good drum sander to add in the near future. These three tools will put me well on my way to exploring new and exciting projects, most notably more segmented turning designs. Be on the lookout!
For now, I leave you with RWC’ 3.0′s first projects: a segmented bottle stopper and segmented snack bowl.
