It has certainly been an interesting 2014 so far! Although I haven’t been able to spend nearly as much time in the shop as I’d like, my career with Milwaukee is really starting to take off. I’ve recently been tapped to manage all of our farm & agriculture accounts on the western side of the US, which should prove to be a very exciting promotion. What does that mean for RWC? In the short term, it means this will remain very much a small side business for me. In the long term, though, moving up with Milwaukee will allow for some very exciting additions – a house, shop space, new shop equipment, and eventually new projects.
Speaking of new projects, I finally put the finishing touches on a couple items I’d been working on, and they’re now available in the shop. You’ll find a segmented Mahogany/Bocote snack bowl, as well as a pair of segmented Curly Maple/Bocote confetti lights. Check them out, and if you like ‘em, buy ‘em! Those guys, as well as a couple of commissioned projects, have also been added to my Portfolio.
Lastly, in an effort to make the store a little more flexible, I’ve added a native credit card option – there’s no need to go through Paypal anymore if you don’t want to. The new card option is powered by Stripe, a fantastic (and secure!) processing company that is powering many of today’s most popular mobile & online stores. I’m hopeful the expanded options will help, and I’ll continue to keep my eyes open for additional payment options to make purchasing even easier.
